ICELANDIC LANGUAGE COURSE

Dirk Gerdes studied Nordic Studies, Modern German Literature and Education in Kiel and Reykjavík. Second degree in philosophy in Kiel. He teaches Icelandic at adult education centres and in the research and teaching department Languages of Northern Europe and the Baltic at the University of Mainz, and teaches German as a foreign language at the Lektorat Deutsch als Fremdsprache at the University of Kiel. He also works as a translator of stories, novels, poetry and children's books from Icelandic.
