MAKING SEED BALLS
Under the supervision of the Schleswig Forest Kindergarten, children and adults can MAKE SEED BALLS out of clay.
We make seed balls with the children from Lüttland from one part seed, three parts clay plaster, five parts soil and one part water. When choosing the seeds, we make sure that only local plant seeds are included in order to maintain the natural balance. Most of the seeds come from our own harvest and include seeds of the typical North German hollyhock in many colour varieties. These seeds can also be planted outdoors in September. The seeds of the seed balls can also be grown in a flower pot. The gardeners can wonderfully observe what develops from the colourful seed mixture.
During this activity, they mix, muddle and splash as they please.
