Get to know the Icelandic language in a taster course with Dirk Gerdes!

Dirk Gerdes studied Nordic Studies, Modern German Literature and Education in Kiel and Reykjavík. Second degree in philosophy in Kiel. He works as a lecturer for Icelandic at adult education centers and in the research and teaching department for Northern European and Baltic languages at the University of Mainz, and as a lecturer for German as a foreign language at the Lektorat Deutsch als Fremdsprache at the University of Kiel. He also works as a translator of stories, novels, poetry and children's books from Icelandic.
