SEED BALLS

We make seed balls with the children in Lüttland from one part seed, three parts clay plaster, five parts soil and one part water. When choosing the seeds, we make sure that only local plant seeds are used in order to maintain the natural balance. Most of the seeds come from our own harvest and include seeds of the typical North German hollyhock in many different colors. These seeds can also be planted outdoors in September. The seeds from the seed balls can also be grown in flower pots. The gardeners can wonderfully observe what develops from the colorful seed mixture.

During the activity, they can mix, mash and putter to their heart's content.
