17 ZIELE AUF DEM NORDEN
Saturday 14.04.2024 & Sunday 15.09.2024
17 goals for sustainable development in this world - that sounds like a really big task at first.
Our colleague Christian Mäntele, head of the #17Goals project here at Engagement Global, agrees. "With the goals, however, we now have a plan for sustainable development for the first time, a map of how we want to proceed," he explains. These are not just issues that should be dealt with by politicians and businesses around the world - implementation starts on a small scale, with every single person - including here in Germany, says Christian Mäntele. "The question is: what can I contribute to making the 17 goals a reality?" That's why we are constantly looking for creative ways to get young people in particular excited about the 17 goals of the 2030 Agenda. On beer mats in local dialects, in entertaining commercials produced by students as part of university collaborations or at poetry slams - we place the 17 goals everywhere. Our motto: the goals should be fun. That's why we travel to music festivals, trade fairs and events with a specially converted shepherd's cart. Wherever the colorful 17-Ziele-Mobil appears, it is an eye-catcher and arouses curiosity. Whether at Haldern Pop, Lollapalooza or on the fan mile of the European Athletics Championships in Berlin: people stop by, strike up a conversation, simply try out charging their cell phones with a bike to generate energy or stack up giant Jenga cubes in the 17 Goals look.
