WHAT MOVES US
Nine friends, a wheelchair, and a seemingly impossible mission
WHAT MOVES US is a gripping story about friendship, freedom, and the power of solidarity to make the impossible possible—an unforgettable adventure.
Nine friends set out on a 256-kilometer hike along the Camino de Santiago in Spain. Among them is Tobias, who was born with a physical disability and uses a wheelchair. He could never have managed this journey alone—but together with his friends, it becomes possible.
The path is full of challenges: steep climbs, blazing sun, tired legs, and countless blisters. Every day, they push forward up to 25 kilometers—with a single-wheeled wheelchair and at the limits of their physical endurance.
What Moves Us is honest, loud, funny, touching, and sometimes chaotic—but always real. The film shows how strong people can be when they meet on equal footing—with respect, trust, and humor. It touches the heart, gives courage, inspires reflection, and awakens a longing for adventure.
“You need courage and you need friends, and then you have the most beautiful experience you can have.” – Tobias Weber (main protagonist)
