PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION – FOTOCLUB SCHLESWIG e.V.

What does your personal “True North” look like? This question was at the heart of the “My Beautiful True North” photography competition, celebrating unique perspectives, favourite places, and unforgettable moments from Schleswig-Holstein and the North.

The competition was organised and carried out on a voluntary basis by Fotoclub Schleswig e.V. in cooperation with the NORDEN Festival, the Landskrona Photo Festival (Sweden), Schleswiger Nachrichten, Stadtmarketing Schleswig, and other partners. The club’s board developed the competition format, served as the jury, and, together with Stadtmarketing Schleswig, curated the exhibition on Stadtweg in Schleswig, which you can visit during the NORDEN Festival. The NORDEN team would like to express its sincere thanks for the outstanding commitment, the excellent communication with all participants, and the successful organisation of the competition.

The response was overwhelming: Numerous photographers submitted stunning images capturing the diversity, beauty, and unique character of Northern Germany. From this remarkable selection, the jury chose the winning photographs.

With her photograph “Trave in the Mist”, Ute Rofallski impressed the jury and won a trip to the Landskrona Photo Festival. Be sure to visit the outdoor exhibition on Stadtweg in Schleswig to see a selection of the printed photographs—it’s well worth it!
