Selina Seemann

A true Northern Light will be leading us through the program of the first two weekends of NORDEN Festival 2021: Selina Seemann, poetry slammer, author, presenter, and Kiel-resident by choice, has been on board at all NORDEN festivals and enraptured the audience with her happy nordic nature. Just like the rest of us, Selina also greatly enjoyed her stay at NORDEN – as she told us in her own words: “NORDEN Festival has cast a spell on me. I hosted the festival on six days and was given the chance to dive deeply into the festival landscape and look behind the scenes. During that time, I encountered wonderful artists from all over the North, received a warm welcome from the exceptionally well-organized crew, and by the second day I felt like I wasn’t working at all but had found a second home. The area is beautiful, the concept free and relaxed, and there’s art to be discovered everywhere – plus you get the opportunity to have a go at it yourself. I especially enjoyed the tiny acoustic concerts at the Garden Stage right by the Schlei, the readings in the Culture Tent, in which you feel really close to the authors, and the freedom to discover something special wherever I went. NORDEN Festival was the best possible conclusion of my summer – and I will always return.“
