“My name is Jan Marxsen and all my life I’ve been playing in punk and hardcore bands. Following an artistic crisis, I started to melodized literature, nature, and the refurbishment of my flat. For me, it’s all about engaging with sounds and music. When a friend once asked my idea of music, I replied: ‘I wish that in a parallel universe, Nils Frahm had composed the soundtrack to Blade Runner.’ Yes, I think that hits closest to home.”
