Svenja Beller und Roman Pawlowski
Just start walking.
Journalist Svenja Beller and photographer Roman Pawlowski simply started walking, from Hamburg via Denmark and Sweden to the far north, Tromsø in Norway. For two months they avoid public transport, hitchhike, and mostly just walk. They want to discover the real thing. They carry neither smartphone nor laptop and haven’t done research or booked any hotel rooms. As they drift northwards, they camp in the wild, sleep at a stranger’s homes, and they are often surprised – by encounters, new experiences, and nature. At the festival’s opening, they will present their book “Einfach loslaufen: Eine Reise in fremde Leben. Von der Haustür in den hohen Norden.“, talk about their journey and show photographs.
