NORDEN - the nordic arts festival

Oliver Lück

Oliver Lück kommt an zwei Tagen mit zwei Geschichten.

Back to Lück
Oliver Lück's personal statistics count more than 130 event evenings a year. Hardly any other author travels as much throughout the country as he does. Just as he loves traveling, he also loves reading tours. For more than twenty years, the Schleswig-Holstein native has also written as a columnist for daily newspapers and magazines. For this exclusive appearance at the NORDEN Festival, the 47-year-old has selected his best short stories. Many of them tell of life in his homeland, in the north. Oliver Lück says: "The observations and encounters on your own doorstep are often the most interesting. When you take off your everyday glasses and approach people you otherwise only know from passing by. And stories are what bring people together. One tells, the other listens - it's very simple." A surprising evening of humorous, serious and sometimes unpublished stories from Lück.
Friday, September 3, 6:15 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. - 8:45 p.m., Kulturzelt

From Hamburg to Inari
Oliver Lück has fulfilled a long-awaited dream with this trip: Once in winter to Northern Lapland, to the far north of Finland. From Hamburg to Inari and back. 5228 kilometers - by night trains, in buses, cabs and snowmobiles. This intensive trip to the far north of Europe took nine days. Lück met Santa Claus, saw the northern lights and was arrested. How intense a short trip can be and how much can happen in little time, the book author and photographer shows in his new picture lecture exclusively at the NORDEN Festival. Premiere!
Saturday, September 4, 17.45 - 18.30 and 21.15 - 22.00, Culture Tent

Oliver Lück is a columnist, journalist and photographer, story collector and book author and lives, when he is not traveling or reading, with his family in Schleswig-Holstein. He is a European par excellence and has dedicated many travels, stories and photos to this idea and this part of the world. In general, there is no reading or lecture by Oliver Lück that is not richly illustrated with photos. Books by him have been published by Rowohlt Verlag, for example "Flaschenpostgeschichten" and "Buntland" - and now quite recently: "Der Strandsammler" (published in March 2021).
