Just as he loves traveling, he also loves reading tours. For more than twenty years, the Schleswig-Holstein native has also written as a columnist for daily newspapers and magazines. For this exclusive appearance at the NORDEN Festival, the 47-year-old has selected his best short stories. Many of them tell of life in his homeland, in the north. Oliver Lück says: "The observations and encounters on your own doorstep are often the most interesting. When you take off your everyday glasses and approach people you otherwise only know from passing by. And stories are what bring people together. One tells, the other listens - it's very simple." Oliver Lück has fulfilled a long-awaited dream with this trip: Once in winter to Northern Lapland, to the far north of Finland. From Hamburg to Inari and back. 5228 kilometers - by night trains, in buses, cabs and snowmobiles. This intensive trip to the far north of Europe took nine days. Lück met Santa Claus, saw the northern lights and was arrested.
