LISA WANLOO (SWE)
Emerging indie artist Lisa Wanloo has been going through a period of contemplation and clarity in recent years. She fearlessly explores her feelings and expresses them in straightforward music in a way that will leave few listeners unmoved.
Wanloo creates a big, dark scenery in her songs, coupled with something fragile that pokes at the inside in a beautiful way. Influenced by the darker varieties of the Americana and singer-songwriter traditions, as well as her lifelong love of grunge music, Wanloo writes her music from the bottom of her heart. It's reminiscent of Angel Olsen and Sharon Van Etten in both approach and execution.
