JIMIS LAST BLUES
Directed by Rasmus Gerlach
Fehmarn 1970: Jimi Hendrix plays his last festival and the historic concert is reconstructed in a music film. In September 1970, the Love and Peace Festival was held at the Flügger Lighthouse on Fehmarn. Planned as the German answer to the legendary Woodstock festival, the event with about 25,000 visitors* turned out chaotic. Wind and rain dominated the atmosphere, and star guest Jimi Hendrix initially refused to perform under these circumstances. But then the time had come.
50 years later, filmmaker Rasmus Gerlach reconstructs the event with various cinematic finds and amateur footage. A 29-minute short version of the film can be seen at NORDEN - The Nordic Arts Festival. The director Rasmus Gerlach has confirmed his presence.
