SOBI
Newcomer from London
SOBI tells stories of encounters and relationships, beautiful and sad experiences, dark moments and positive turns in her songs.
Hope can be the key to heal sadness - and this is what the singer, guitarist and composer expresses in her songs. She began writing and performing her own songs at the tender age of 16, and has since played several tours (including Jamie Lawson's sold-out tour as an opening act) to make a name for herself in the UK and Germany.
"My songs are meant to encourage people who are unsure about their identity, their role in society and relationships" says Sobi, who grew up in London, highlighting that everyone should stand by their individuality, strengths and weaknesses and not compare themselves to others. To celebrate the release of her debut EP "Home One Day," Sobi played a sold-out headline show at LUX in Hannover in front of a crowd of 200. Her single "Devil" landed on several independently curated Spotify playlists, including Alexrainbird's Winter 2020 indie playlist, and her single "Pearl" has already garnered over 344,000 streams on Spotify. In her latest single, "Caribbean Beach," Sobi recounts her own experience with grief following the sudden loss of her father in 2020.
