Climate change, concrete deserts and pesticides are causing insects to die off worldwide, with dramatic consequences for our ecosystem.

In her graphic novel "Milch ohne Honig" illustrator Hanna Harms uses poetic images to show the many aspects of the situation, right up to the extinction of the species. A future without bees? A gray dystopia that we absolutely must counteract!

Hanna Harms, born in 1994, is an illustrator and comic author. She graduated from the Münster School of Design with a semester at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem. She is currently studying illustration in the master's program. She is a co-editor and author of the comic zine "Sonder". Her project "Milch ohne Honig" won the Ginco Award in the category "Best Non Fiction Comic" in 2020.
