TOMODE (SWE)

TOMODE is an electro-pop duo from Stockholm, consisting of Carl Leandersson and Viktor Westerberg. After a sold-out concert at the cult Parisian venue "La Boule", the duo releases their second EP "Riviera". In it, they enrich their Scandinavian melancholy with a hypnotising warmth. Dreamy vocal harmonies mix with sun-soaked synthesiser sounds, and the whole thing floats and pulsates over a 70s disco sound.

"For us, the Riviera is a place where profound natural beauty is interwoven with commercial hollowness. Enjoying a sunset in deep orange on cheap plastic furniture - something like that. A light coastal breeze with a hint of chlorine. Just beneath the shiny surface flows a melancholic undercurrent that you just can't escape." This is how the two young Swedes see the Riviera and its significance for their music.

The EP includes the previously released singles "Conversation Starter" and "Out On The Dunes", which have garnered over 300,000 streams on all platforms. This is followed by the single "Bar Phantasmique", the emotional title track "Riviera" and the catchy "Don't Think About It".

After the success of their debut EP "Synergy" (2021), the genre-crossing and catchy sound of Stockholm's childhood friends Westerberg and Leandersson has established the duo as an exciting act in the Scandinavian indie scene and earned them several nominations for music awards.
