GÉONNE HARTMAN (NL)

Poetic texts from Utrecht

Géonne Hartman is a singer-songwriter from Utrecht (NL). With her music, she takes you on a whimsical journey through a dreamscape created by surprising melodies. Her capturing, clear voice strings together the poetic lyrics under the guidance of her band.

In June 2019 she released her first EP Salt Wind produced by Eelco Topper (Felbm) and Arriën Molema (Room Eleven). One year later she collaborated with Tessa Rose Jackson (Someone) to record and produce her debut album.
Her debut album 'He Went To The Sea' came out the 22nd of April (Concerto Records Amsterdam) and was celebrated with a concert in EKKO in her hometown Utrecht. Around her release she played on 3FM radio, did the aftershow for Conan Grey in the AFAS live with her band, and opened shows for Andy Shauf (Rotown) and Sophie Hunger (Tolhuistuin). During the winter of 22' she played a support tour for the band Elephant throughout The Netherlands.

The 27-year-old singer-songwriter makes intimate, unconventional, folky indie. Her inspiration stems from strong female artists like Phoebe Bridgers , The Weather Station, Adrianne Lenker and Laura Marling.
