JÜRGEN RICKMERS

Late-Night-Show Through the storms of the 19th century - a live music podcast

The blending of music, language and sound is at the top of this production. The narrator Peter Bieringer and the actress & singer Jamie Watson guide us with their pleasant voices through the adventurous story of JÜRGEN RICKMERS. Journalist Daniel Hautmann reads diary entries from contemporary witnesses. Christoph Drave (violin) and Dominik Dittrich (piano) play live to the piece. Accompanied by Bente Faust, Rickmers' great-great-grandson, who operates the synthesiser and beat machines and produces sounds on stage. A sophisticated and lively sound design makes the Jürgen Rickmers podcast a special listening pleasure. Mini musical", "live radio play", "living history lesson", "road movie for the ears" were just a few of the terms used by the audience in a feedback questionnaire for the live podcast.
