Rüdiger Tillmann
Wood - drawings of a landscape
Rüdiger Tillmann grew up on a farm in the German region Sauerland. His major in illustration took him via Düsseldorf and Münster to Hamburg in the North, where he resides and draws comics and cartoons for various magazines. His illustrations always reflect his attachment to nature. In Småland, he started to create portraits of woods that depict nature as mythologically loaded and a landscape that has been cultivated by man. After his exhibitions in Lüneburg and Hamburg, the Elin Wägner-scholarship will take Rüdiger Tillmann back into the woods of Småland.
