Maike can hardly contain her joy when she finally fulfils her childhood dream and adopts Matti, a street dog from the Ukraine . . She has to convince her boyfriend , clarify dog ownership with the landlord and face the seemingly insoluble task of finding a name, but now that Matti has arrived, these troubles have come to an end.

Wrong thinking! The four-legged friend brings Maike one challenge after the next. Her new family member is sick all the time and Maike has to take good care of him. Besides walks and cuddles, there are also examinations and diet plans. But giving up is out of the question for the fun-loving duo!
