D/troit are Denmark’s finest soul band - sweet, warm, and unpolished.
After having listened to their album “Soul Sound System” for the first time, you would never have guessed that this is a five-piece from Copenhagen. Their music is irresistibly sweet, full of soul, warm, and raw, and it openly rings of freedom and hope. D/troit are as rough and forceful as possible. Frontman Toke Bo Nisted, guitarist Klaus Højbjerg, bassist Jackie Larsen, keyboarder Mads Jensen, and drummer Stefan Cannerslund Andersen are breathing soul. Whether danceable tune or exquisite ballad: D/troit know no musical boundaries. Soul was famously made for the stage and the legs but also, naturally, for the heart.
