NINA LYKKE (NO)
A reading from the novel "We're not here, to have fun"
NINA LYKKE is one of the most important voices in contemporary Norwegian literature. Her bestseller “Alles wird gut” was awarded the prestigious Brage Prize and sold in over 15 countries. In her new novel “We're not here to have fun”, she tells the story of Knut, an aging author in crisis who senses his last chance at a literary festival. Nina Lykke is known for her razor-sharp view of her contemporaries in Norway's affluent society, especially the established middle class. She takes their weaknesses apart in a wonderfully sarcastic manner and dissects the existing weak points. You always feel caught out while reading and have to laugh out loud, but quite often the laughter gets stuck in your throat.
The reading is moderated by Nann Moldskred.
