The NORDIC SHORTS are an attraction for all those who enjoy experimenting and look longingly at the cinema. The selection and compilation of films in discursive or thematically formal programs combines entertaining depth with cinematic insight and at the same time provides impulses for the future of cinema. There are also special programs in the form of collaborations with other festivals, film collectives or archives.

Washed-out 16mm images of nature merge with animations of artfully arranged porcelain figures to create a fairytale symphony of movement and torpor that tells of the passing of time and the transience of existence.

The sum of these glimpses into the interior reveals a surprising vitality thriving beyond the shabby face of the machine for living.

Nina is not exactly thrilled when Stian arrives late for her housewarming party and then drags along a choir he has just picked up on the streetcar. Noisy, drunk and silly, the colorful troupe in the stairwell tries the patience of the hostess. When the cat also runs out of the apartment, it seems like the worst is over. But then the uninvited guests start to sing.
