STEFFI WEILKIENS creates figurative wooden sculptures that exude nature, country life and a maritime lightness. Her trademark is the ‘Women in the Wind’ – down-to-earth figures in yellow wellington boots, basking in the wind and sunshine. She also creates artistic beehives that provide an optimal habitat for pollinators inside, whilst on the outside, expressive faces emerge from the wood – a symbiosis of art and nature conservation.
Steffi will be at the art market on Saturday and Sunday, 29–30 August, from 2 pm to 8 pm. On both days, at 4 pm, she will be creating a work of art with a chainsaw in front of the audience.
