Already for the tenth time the HELGA! Festival Award and the NORDEN - The Nordic Arts Festival really clears the air: The GRÜNSTE WIESE can now be found at the NORDEN in Schleswig.

An independent jury of experts selected the three best festivals from Germany in different categories from numerous entries. The best festivals of the year will then be honored at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg. At the award ceremony on September 21, the NORDEN Festival received the first prize in the category Greenest Meadow and now officially counts as the most sustainable festival in Germany!

Already on 08.09.2023 at the NORDEN Festival, we were awarded by the Schleswig-Holstein Minister of Economics Claus Ruhe Madsen, the prize "Project Sustainability" endowed with 1,000 EURO.

The educational center RENN.nord writes: The project "NORDEN Festival" was awarded as "Project Sustainability 2023" in the category "N". The established sustainability award is presented by the four Regional Network Centers for Sustainability Strategies (RENN) in cooperation with the German Council for Sustainable Development under the umbrella of Gemeinschaftswerk Nachhaltigkeit.

The NORDEN Festival is a lighthouse project for green event management that thinks and implements sustainability holistically. Sustainability plays a major role not only in the organization. At the festival itself, an attempt is made to inspire visitors with information and workshops in a sustainable manner. The festival is a tourist highlight for the Schlei region and an engine for social and economic development in Schleswig and nationwide.

This prize was awarded in the original during the celebrations of the Day of German Unity in Hamburg on 02.10.2023 at 15.30 on the NDR main stage at Jungfernstieg. Dörte Busse-Meyn (RENN.nord) addressed touching words to the NORDEN team in her Ladatio:

You give inspiration: The supporting program includes numerous actors who contribute to sustainable development with forward-looking ideas.

You live the message that a festival can not only be entertainment, but also a platform for inspiration of positive changes in our society.

This commitment does not go unseen and so I am pleased to award the NORDEN Festival today as an outstanding sustainability project in the category "N - Now and Locally" by Projekt Nachhaltigkeit.

The NORDEN Festival has become a role model for sustainable event management and shines as a beacon project between the seas. Dear Manfred Pakusius, dear Marno Happ, dear team - congratulations!

Just be happy!!! Three breathtaking summer-sun weekends are behind us and we are still reminiscing about our time together at the Königswiesen. That was the best NORDEN Festival ever! And because NORDEN is also one of the best times of the year for us, we have once again captured the most beautiful jam jar moments with you in our aftermovie ✨ These are very special memories for which we are very, very grateful. 2nd festival weekend 2024

WOW - what a wild second festival weekend it was! ? Fantastic weather, diverse live performances and a turbulent air guitar competition. We were able to break another attendance record! Over 5,000 visitors whirled through the festival grounds on the Königswiesen on Saturday. People hammered jewelry, listened to stories and cheered on bands. Women's power was a particular focus this weekend. Perhaps HAIYTI really fired you up on Friday at the Schleibühne or you were enchanted by DOTA on Saturday evening.

ADVANCE SALE NORDEN FESTIVAL 2025 from 15 OCTOBER 2024

In contrast to previous years, advance sales for the 7th NORDEN Festival from August 28 - September 14, 2025 will not begin until October 15, 2024. This also applies to the sale of early bird tickets at the Liesegang bookstore. We would like to take the time this year to take stock and make any necessary changes to the process, concept and price structure. And in October, we will also announce the first acts for 2025 ?

We ask for your patience and look forward to the final festival weekend starting on Thursday with Jupiter Jones, the laser show presented by Stadtwerke SH and many great artists from the European NORTH.

1st festival weekend 2024

Lots of love for this bombastic first festival weekend at NORDEN 2024 ❤️ It was incredible!!! ✨ We are celebrating the first festival weekend with a mosh pit of love, lots of awesome dance battles and an always full culture tent. Even the Minister President says we chose the most beautiful place in Schleswig-Holstein for our festival. There was crafting and dancing, you were spoiled with culinary delights and NORDEN Lights transformed the Königswiesen into a magical place in the evening.

Tickets pre sale and box office

You can buy tickets for the NORDEN Festival in advance in the NORDEN online shop or at the box office. The box office opens one hour before the festival starts. However, we reserve the right to stop sales at the box office depending on the number of visitors on the festival site.
