NORDEN Festival 2024 // First Release
A lot has happened in the past few weeks and we are looking forward to 2024 and the upcoming NORDEN - The Nordic Arts Festival. But honestly, why can't we just see each other more often and celebrate together? We still think about our time at the Königswiesen quite often. It was really, really great and special!
The first snow has now fallen and the anticipation of Christmas is growing. It's the best time for us to finally present the FIRST RELEASE for NORDEN 2024. A promising start with really great artists!
The first festival weekend of 2024 starts with familiar faces on the Schleibühne. After DENIZ & OVE had to cancel their performance this year due to illness, the organizers are very pleased that a new date has already been confirmed for next year. On Saturday, September 1, 2024, Deniz & Ove will play music that is not only made for children, but can also be heard and enjoyed by their parents.
With DOTA, a great wish of our organizers Manni and Marno comes true on the second festival weekend. The musician has been at the top of the booking wish list for some time, as her music hits the nerve of her time. The music of the band around songwriter Dota Kehr bounces and dances, it pauses, jumps off the quarry pond jetty, swims and dives. She mixes folk and indietronica and lets her love of Brazilian music shine through here and there. Her lyrics touch with their immediacy.
After LUCKY LO's performance at this year's Reeperbahn Festival, it was clear to us that the Swedish singer-songwriter absolutely had to be invited to Schleswig. On the third weekend of the festival, on Sunday, September 15, 2024, she will be playing at the Königswiesen. For the profound listener, her alternative pop is lush, colorful and surprising. For the dancer, it's groovy, funky and cheerful. And for those looking to connect, it's empathetic, honest and real. Another wish on our booking list: JON FLEMMING OLSEN. He took part in the Eurovision Song Contest with Texas Lightning and came back with gold, platinum and the No. 1 hit No No Never. You can experience him live as an impressive one-man band and subtle entertainer on Sunday, September 15, 2024, on the Garden Stage. A very special festival finale in the coming year.

Catchy songs, deeply rooted in an indie-pop-soul style with singer-songwriter lyricism on Sunday, September 15, 2024. On Thursday, September 12, 2024, BRTHR will be performing on the Garden Stage at the NORDEN Festival. Their timeless Americana songs, which taste of southern soul but also of cowboy folk, are so fluffy and beautifully laid back that you can't resist them. FORWARD come from the suburbs of Hanover and make multi-layered indie pop with a brilliant live sound, characterized by big band horns, glittering guitars, retro synth sounds and an animating rhythm section. A band that really comes into its own live and will flood the NORDEN with joie de vivre on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

Just be happy!!! Three breathtaking summer-sun weekends are behind us and we are still reminiscing about our time together at the Königswiesen. That was the best NORDEN Festival ever! And because NORDEN is also one of the best times of the year for us, we have once again captured the most beautiful jam jar moments with you in our aftermovie ✨ These are very special memories for which we are very, very grateful. 2nd festival weekend 2024
WOW - what a wild second festival weekend it was! ? Fantastic weather, diverse live performances and a turbulent air guitar competition. We were able to break another attendance record! Over 5,000 visitors whirled through the festival grounds on the Königswiesen on Saturday. People hammered jewelry, listened to stories and cheered on bands. Women's power was a particular focus this weekend. Perhaps HAIYTI really fired you up on Friday at the Schleibühne or you were enchanted by DOTA on Saturday evening.

ADVANCE SALE NORDEN FESTIVAL 2025 from 15 OCTOBER 2024
In contrast to previous years, advance sales for the 7th NORDEN Festival from August 28 - September 14, 2025 will not begin until October 15, 2024. This also applies to the sale of early bird tickets at the Liesegang bookstore. We would like to take the time this year to take stock and make any necessary changes to the process, concept and price structure. And in October, we will also announce the first acts for 2025 ?
We ask for your patience and look forward to the final festival weekend starting on Thursday with Jupiter Jones, the laser show presented by Stadtwerke SH and many great artists from the European NORTH.

Lots of love for this bombastic first festival weekend at NORDEN 2024 ❤️ It was incredible!!! ✨ We are celebrating the first festival weekend with a mosh pit of love, lots of awesome dance battles and an always full culture tent. Even the Minister President says we chose the most beautiful place in Schleswig-Holstein for our festival. There was crafting and dancing, you were spoiled with culinary delights and NORDEN Lights transformed the Königswiesen into a magical place in the evening.

Tickets pre sale and box office
You can buy tickets for the NORDEN Festival in advance in the NORDEN online shop or at the box office. The box office opens one hour before the festival starts. However, we reserve the right to stop sales at the box office depending on the number of visitors on the festival site.
Ait Guitar Contest 07.09.2024
MAKE AIR, NOT WAR!
Big premiere at the NORDEN Festival: Extremely hot air awaits you today on the Garden Stage. We present the 1st NORDEN AIR GUITAR CONTEST. There will be plucking and ripping, beating and tonguing. You've never seen anything like it! The air will burn. Who will deliver the best air guitar performance and win over the jury and audience? A total of 10 participants have the chance to take part. The Finnish vice world champion on the air guitar, Aapo Rautio, will be our special guest. He will show us his crazy finger skills.
Be there and apply at info@norden-festival.com! All participants in the air guitar competition will receive free entry to the NORDEN Festival on September 7th (plus companion), goodies from Itzehoer Versicherungen and for the first three places there are great prizes worth a total of 700 €.
