NORDEN Festival 2024 // Third cultural wave

The next cultural wave is here and we definitely haven't promised you too much: NORDEN 2024 is going to be awesome! ? We've been digging for a long time and finally got the go-ahead: JUPITER JONES are coming to NORDEN Festival 2024 with a full band. There's also a fixed date for a heavy SECRET HEADLINER - you can really look forward to that!

Impressive people and exciting readings await you in the culture tent - it's guaranteed not to be boring! And today we also present the first act in our Manege in the Park. In the next wave of culture, there will be a big wave of fantastic street theater - stay tuned!

JUPITER JONES made their breakthrough with their song "Still" and even won an Echo. After they announced their break-up in 2017, there was radio silence for 5 years. In 2021 - in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic - they then celebrated their comeback. Their latest album went straight back into the charts.

This year we're keeping you in suspense a little: For the first Friday of the festival, 30.08.2024, we promise you an absolutely blatant SECRET HEADLINER on the Schleibühne, which unfortunately we can't reveal to you yet. Nasty? Yes, sorry... But stay tuned!

We discovered the band ELEPHANT at the Eurosonic Festival in the Netherlands. They played on the biggest stage there, because they are already a big name in their home country and their last club tour was sold out. And we understand why: the laid-back guys deliver irresistible guitar melodies, nonchalance and lyrics that celebrate the beauty of the everyday.

LITTLE K is the new quintet around the fantastic singer KRISTIN AMPARO from Sweden. What started with a participation in the TV show X Factor 2012, continued as a versatile career, including a #1 pop single and excursions into jazz and soul.

We regularly invite local folk and klezmer groups to Schleswig, such as Danubes Banks (2022), Analogue Swing and Humming Bee (both 2023). This summer, HEPTA POLKA will be gracing us after being recommended to us by various guests. They stand for lively music from different directions and want to revive the folk music of Europe. Who would like to dance with us?

LINA BÓ were also recommended to us and it was immediately clear that they would be a perfect fit for us on the garden stage! Their songs take you on their own journey, carried by Celina's very touching voice and sounds that move between South American exoticism and German retro pop.

POM - the name alone! And that's exactly what they sound like: the indie band from the Netherlands fuse Britpop, punk and garage rock. It's loud and really fun. POM have already presented their debut album "We Were Girls Together" at numerous concerts in their home country and will be coming to Germany for the first time in 2024.

ANKE LOOSE was already firmly scheduled to appear in the literature section in 2023, but unfortunately her visit had to be canceled at short notice. This year, she will be at the NORDEN Festival on Saturday, August 31, with two children's readings followed by a craft workshop - with little Mr. Heimlich in her luggage, of course. On Sunday, September 1, SIMONE BUCHHOLZ will tell the story of friendship and love, of Iva and Malin, who suddenly find themselves in a parallel world without an exit, in her inimitable laconic style. She reads from her novel Unsterblich sind nur die anderen.
If Platt, then with MATTHIAS STÜHRWOLDT! On Thursday, September 5, he will be reading twice from his books. In Platt from Groot und stark, Ünnern Hevenand und Quer dörch. At Vorglühen he will also be reading in High German for a change. NORDEN Festival without OLIVER LÜCK is simply unthinkable! And that's why the organizers are making it an Oli festival weekend. On Friday, September 6, and Saturday, September 7, he will delight audiences with his incredible storytelling talent. What experiences will he be telling about this time?

Now the first item on the program is in the Manege in the Park. HERR NIELS doesn't actually do anything. And when he does do something, he usually does nonsense. But that doesn't matter, at least not in our Manege in the Park! True to this motto, Mr. Niels will play his way into the hearts of his audience on Thursday, September 5 and Friday, September 6. His program is visual comedy par excellence.

Today we can finally present you the FIRST CULTURAL WAVE for NORDEN 2025! The first HEADLINERS for the Saturday evenings have now been confirmed: SELIG and MOOP MAMA x ÄLICE will provide great moments on the Schleibühne. LUCY FRICKE will be reading from her current bestselling novel in the Kulturzelt and in the Manege im Park we will show you an incredible show that has never been seen before in Schleswig.

Just be happy!!! Three breathtaking summer-sun weekends are behind us and we are still reminiscing about our time together at the Königswiesen. That was the best NORDEN Festival ever! And because NORDEN is also one of the best times of the year for us, we have once again captured the most beautiful jam jar moments with you in our aftermovie ✨ These are very special memories for which we are very, very grateful. 2nd festival weekend 2024

WOW - what a wild second festival weekend it was! ? Fantastic weather, diverse live performances and a turbulent air guitar competition. We were able to break another attendance record! Over 5,000 visitors whirled through the festival grounds on the Königswiesen on Saturday. People hammered jewelry, listened to stories and cheered on bands. Women's power was a particular focus this weekend. Perhaps HAIYTI really fired you up on Friday at the Schleibühne or you were enchanted by DOTA on Saturday evening.

ADVANCE SALE NORDEN FESTIVAL 2025 from 15 OCTOBER 2024

In contrast to previous years, advance sales for the 7th NORDEN Festival from August 28 - September 14, 2025 will not begin until October 15, 2024. This also applies to the sale of early bird tickets at the Liesegang bookstore. We would like to take the time this year to take stock and make any necessary changes to the process, concept and price structure. And in October, we will also announce the first acts for 2025 ?

We ask for your patience and look forward to the final festival weekend starting on Thursday with Jupiter Jones, the laser show presented by Stadtwerke SH and many great artists from the European NORTH.

Lots of love for this bombastic first festival weekend at NORDEN 2024 ❤️ It was incredible!!! ✨ We are celebrating the first festival weekend with a mosh pit of love, lots of awesome dance battles and an always full culture tent. Even the Minister President says we chose the most beautiful place in Schleswig-Holstein for our festival. There was crafting and dancing, you were spoiled with culinary delights and NORDEN Lights transformed the Königswiesen into a magical place in the evening.

Tickets pre sale and box office

You can buy tickets for the NORDEN Festival in advance in the NORDEN online shop or at the box office. The box office opens one hour before the festival starts. However, we reserve the right to stop sales at the box office depending on the number of visitors on the festival site.
