NORDEN - the nordic arts festival

Scandinavian, European, International: The NORDEN Film Program 2021 looks beyond the horizon

The short films of the NORDEN Festival are presented, among others, by the film festivals from Schleswig-Holstein: Filmfest Schleswig-Holstein, Nordic Film Days Lübeck, Cinemare Internationales Meeresfilmfestival Kiel, Green Screen Naturfilmfestival and Flensburger Kurzfilmtage provide insights into their extremely diverse programs. In addition, this year's festival will feature excerpts from Scandinavian and European festivals: short films from the Sveriges Kortfilmfestival from Stockholm, a Danish film program and impressions from the Vilnius International Short Film Festival from Lithuania. Thus, the cinema tent will become a melting pot of Nordic film cultures.
And of course, the Summer Open Air Cinema on the banks of the Schlei will continue with two outstanding cinema films: "In addition to the already announced Finnish feature film AURORA, we are also pleased to announce AQUARELA, a documentary by Viktor Kossakovsky, which illustrates the climatic changes of the planet with spectacular images of water around the world," says Karsten Wiesel.
NORDPOP - Your Local Music Weekend

The makers of the NORDEN Festival have taken this as an opportunity to offer the local music scene from Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein a stage with a new format: NORDPOP as part of the NORDEN Festival from 26 to 29 August 2021.
