NORDEN - the nordic arts festival

More artists are confirmed

With less than half a year to go until NORDEN - The Nordic Arts Festival 2022, we have used the first weeks of this year to expand the program for this year's festival and are now happy to present more artists. In addition to numerous musical acts, more authors and street theater artists are now confirmed.
This year we will expand the theater deck. A new venue will be created - MANEGE IM PARK. This project is supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.

Musical highlights complement the program
More than half of the musical festival program is now in place.
The first band from Denmark is booked - Andorra will play on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022. The five-piece band incorporates the Scandinavian soundscape into its music with simple but thoughtful structures, resulting in a hard indie rock-like expression mixed with the diversity of jazz. Also performing from northern Germany: Hamburg band M. Byrd on Sunday, Sept. 04, 2022, as well as Kapelle Rausch from Kiel (Thursday, Sept. 08, 2022) and Orange and Mountains from Hamburg (Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022). The previous program items will be supplemented by performances by the Dutch band EUT (Saturday, 10.09.2022) and the Dutch rapper Anoki (Thursday, 02.09.2022). The members of Dutch band EUT, founded in 2016, each bring their own preferences to the songwriting process and you can hear echoes of 90s influences. Rapper and songwriter Anoki, on the other hand, deals with the eternal promise of happiness in his latest single, Irgendwann wird alles leichter, embedded in a vintage band sound.

For the first time, several literati*innen are now also announced. On all three weekends from August 25 to September 11, 2022, renowned authors* will read from their works in the Kulturzelt. On Saturday, August 27, 2022, fritz-kola founder Mirco Wolf Wiegert will read from his current book fritz gegen goliath and tell about the incredible company story. On Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022, feminist and body image activist, Melodie Michelberger, presents her work Body Politics, addressing current pressures on women's body image. Florian Hacke presents his new program NICHTS DARF MAN MEHR!!1 on Saturday, September 10, a breathing course for Wutbürger*innen and all those who want to become one.

The second festival weekend is enriched on Sunday, 04.09.2022, by the appearance of the author Christo Foerster from Hamburg. He will read from his microadventures and show for the first time his recently completed film Abenteuerland.

New venue MANEGE IM PARK
With the help of a grant from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media and the German Theater Technical Society (DTHG), the previous theater deck is expanded and a new venue is created - MANEGE IM PARK.
The MANEGE IM PARK will be opened by the Dutch duo Stenzel & Kivitz (NL) on Thursday, August 25, 2022. They will delight with a unique music-comedy show in a humorous and musically gifted way. Thursday, 01.09.2022 comes for the first time the duo Kate & Pasi (FIN) to the Königswiesen in Schleswig. They perform with an acrobatic funny show, where everything revolves around an armchair.
